UND professor appointed editor-in-chief of book series on K-12 and higher education

Sagini Keengwe, associate professor in the University of North Dakota College of Education & Human Development, was recently appointed editor-in-chiefof two IGI Global Book Series: Advances in Higher Education and Professional Development (AHEPD) and Advances in Early Childhood and K-12 Education (AECKE). He is currently the co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Education and Learning (EduLearn). Keengwe\u27s work in the classroom was honored with the 2011UND McDermott Faculty Award for Excellence in Academic Advising. He was also a recipient of the 2010 North Dakota Spirit Faculty Achievement Award and the Martin Luther King Jr. Award for service to UND. At the national level, Keengwe has represented UND as one of the 10 recipients of the 2010 American Educational Research Association (AERA) Division K – Teacher Education – Travel Award. Keengwe\u27s research interests focus on technology integration and constructivist pedagogy in teacher education. He has published numerous articles and edited or co-edited at least 10 scholarly textbooks including: Cross-Cultural Considerations in the Education of Young Immigrant Learners (2014), Pedagogical Applications and Social Effects of Mobile Technology Integration (2013), Research Perspectives and Best Practices in Educational Technology Integration (2013), Virtual Mentoring for Teachers: Online Professional Development Practices (2013) and Adult Learning in the Digital Age: Perspectives on Online Technologies and Outcomes (2010)
