Influencia de la fecha de siembra sobre los determinantes fisiológicos y numéricos del rendimiento en el cultivo de cártamo (Carthamus tinctorius L.) en La Pampa

The sowing date of the safflower crop varies according to the area and is one of the most important factors in production. The main objective of the work was to establish an optimal planting season to reduce the days elapsed between sowing, germination and emergence, thus decreasing plant losses due to greater exposure to diseases, insects and herbivorous animals, without compromising the components of yield for a time of inadequate planting. The second objective was to expand the information on the harmful insect species as well as the beneficial ones. The study was a with three replications, treatments were Regarding the possible sowing dates in the semiarid Pampas region, the date of mid August (08/15/2014) and mid September (09/18/2014) are those with the highest yields. The date of mid August is recommended because later dates make it more difficult to control weeds due to the conditions of higher temperature and frequently higher level of precipitation. During the crop cycle, sixteen harmful species were identified belonging to the orders: Hemiptera (9 species), Thysanoptera (1 species), Lepidoptera (3 species) and Coleoptera (3 species). As for the beneficial species, seven were found belonging to the orders: Coleoptera (3 species) Hemiptera (1 species), Hymenoptera (2 species) and Araneae (1 species).La fecha de siembra del cultivo de cártamo varía según la zona y es uno de los factores de mayor importancia en la producción. El objetivo fundamental del trabajo fue establecer una época de siembra óptima que permita disminuir los días transcurridos entre la siembra, la germinación y emergencia, disminuyendo así las pérdidas de plantas por mayor exposición a enfermedades, insectos y animales herbívoros, sin comprometer los componentes del rendimiento por una época de siembra inadecuada. El segundo objetivo fue ampliar la información sobre las especies de insectos perjudiciales como así también las benéficas asociadas al cultivo. El estudio tuvo un diseño de bloques completos al azar con cuatro repeticiones, los tratamientos fueron tres fechas de siembra. Con respecto a las posibles fechas de siembra en la región semiárida pampeana las fechas de mediados de agosto (15/08/2014) y mediados de septiembre (18/09/2014) son las de mayores rendimientos. Recomendándose la fecha de mediados de agosto debido a que fechas tardías hace más difícil un control adecuado de malezas debido a las condiciones de mayor temperatura y frecuentemente mayor nivel de precipitaciones. Durante el ciclo del cultivo se identificaron dieciséis especies perjudiciales pertenecientes a los órdenes: Hemiptera (9 especies), Thysanoptera (1 especie), Lepidoptera (3 especies) y Coleoptera (3 especies). En cuanto a las especies benéficas se encontraron siete pertenecientes a los órdenes: Coleoptera (3 especies), Hemiptera (1 especie), Hymenoptera (2 especies) y Araneae (1 especies)
