Aeneid ́s Book 8 offers a large ver-sion of Roman History from the beginnings of Janus and Saturnus to Accius ́ battle. Historic account is developed in two episodes: Evander and Aeneas ́ tour through Palanteum and the description of Vulcanus ́ shield.
