Add to ORKGCanton high school received state accreditation for the first time in December of 1919 and became a part of the new Pisgah High School in 1966 when voters passed the Better Schools Plan, a bond which consolidated seven public high schools, none of which met state accreditation standards, into two new high schools, Pisgah and Tuscola. This 1960 photograph shows students in the Canton High School Glee Club who performed for the Canton-Clyde-Bethel Chamber of Commerce annual meeting under the direction of Wayne Pressley with the accompaniment of Miss Juanita Patton.
