Reuben B. Robertson was named 1950’s “Man of the South” and was honored during a December 16th banquet. Many came forward to speak highly of Robertson creating a retrospect of his life service. Free Enterprise and the Community – a Case History was the theme of the night. More than 150 businessmen, educators, public officials, and Champion representatives from near and far attended the banquet held at the Battery Park Hotel in Asheville.
