This session will detail how Dakota State University launched a pilot to collect student learning assessment data and not break the bank. This locally-developed system (leveraging Word, Excel, SQL Server, and VisualStudio) allows faculty members to submit data at their convenience; aligning data collection with routine grading done by faculty members. The institution started with General Education outcomes in mind, and it is slowly growing into majors and cross-discipline collaborations as well.
