OBJECTIVE: The objective of this selective EBM review is to determine whether or not physical activity, when combined with androgen deprivation therapy, yields a better quality of life in survivors of prostate cancer. STUDY DESIGN: Three randomized, controlled trials (RCTs) were found using the PubMed and Cochrane databases. The studies compared regular physical activity in men undergoing androgen deprivation therapy for prostate cancer. OUTCOMES MEASURED: The outcomes measured were self-reported quality of life surveys at different time intervals.
