РОССИЙСКАЯ ПРОВИНЦИЯ: ИСТОРИКО-КУЛЬТУРНЫЕ АСПЕКТЫ

The article studies the phenomenon of province. This active usage testifies the objective social realiae existence. The province is genetically connected to the city, but does not include only the city. In Russia the components, compiling the provincial world, were non-capital cities, country estates, major factorial settlements and monasteries. There exists a certain «third» culture which is characteristic for the province and exists between the capital and the country. The Russian province had no possibilities for a proper development. It kept limited intermediary functions, connected with the rapid country modernization.В статье исследуется феномен провинции. Востребованность этого понятия свидетельствует о наличии объективных социальных реалий. Провинция генетически связана с городом, но несводима только к нему. В России компонентами, провинциального мира были внестоличные города, дворянские усадьбы, крупные заводские селения и монастыри. Для провинции характерна так называемая «третья» культура, которая находится между столицей и деревней. Российская провинция не имела возможностей для полноценного развития. Для нее сохранялись ограниченные посреднические функции, связанные с ускоренной модернизацией страны
