Alice Yale taught art at Brockport. She was from Deansboro NY and received a BA from Syracuse and her MA from Columbia University. After teaching in public schools for several years, she came to Brockport in 1917, teaching here until her retirement in 1944. A rather quirky but engaging person, she was well known and liked on campus. She was the one students turned to when they needed help decorating for an event, and she was active in social affairs. In addition to her painting and other artistic interests, she like to write poetry. The image here is from the June 1924 Stylus.https://digitalcommons.brockport.edu/faculty_photos/1010/thumbnail.jp
