Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the causative agent of Tuberculosis, infects over one third of the world\u27s population. To control this epidemic, we must develop new chemotherapeutic strategies for treatment, which requires further insight into the physiology of this bacterium. Previous studies have identified CarD as a transcriptional regulator essential during both acute and persistent infection.
