Nursing burnout is a major problem faced by healthcare systems in the United States and all over the world. Ondriova (2017) reported, “the rate of prevalence of burnout in the profession of nursing is significant” (p. 18). Mannangi, Dupiton, Boutin and Angus (2018) define nursing burnout as, “high emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and a sense of reduced personal accomplishment in professionals who provide direct care to others” (p. 4).
