U radu je dan kratak opis metode komponenata. Primjena metode komponenata prikazana je na numeričkom primjeru priključka stupa i grede s obostrano produljenom čeonom pločom. Priključak je preuzet iz laboratorijskih ispitivanja, koje su proveli kineski znanstvenici. Proračun je proveden u skladu s europskom normom HRN EN 1993-1-8. Za kontrolu dobivenih rezultata proračun je proveden u programu RAM Connection Standalone. Na kraju, rezultati proračuna uspoređeni su s rezultatima dobivenim laboratorijskim ispitivanjima.
