The correlation in turbulent properties between the near wake, far wake and aerodynamic efficiency has not been explored so far. Overall, the goal of this experimental investigation is to gain insight into the trends of the mean and fluctuating flow quantities in the wake of an airfoil and determine if a correlation exists with maximum aerodynamic efficiency, (L/D)Max. Some of the mean flow quantities considered in this study are velocity components and vorticity.
