Salivary biomarkers have been investigated for the past 20 years. Saliva offers several advantages over other fluids in monitoring biomarkers of the body's physiological state. It is known that during exercise there is an increase in amylase and salivary protein concentrations as well as lactate and that there is a high correlation between the behavior of these curves.
