Background: Iatrogenic ureteric injury remains a risk in laparoscopic pelvic procedures. Near-infrared fluorescence (NIRF) imaging is a promising new technique for enhanced intraoperative visualization of anatomical structures that could improve the safety of laparoscopic surgery.
