UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEAKTIFAN DAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA DENGAN SNOWBALL THROWING SISWA KELAS VII C SMP NEGERI 2 KOKAP KULON PROGO

an effort to increase the students’ learning activity and achievement in learning mathematics through snowball throwing learning methods of students grade VII C SMP Negeri 2 Kokap. The type of this research is a classroom action research. The subject of the research are the students grade VII C SMP Negeri 2 Kokap, Kulon Progo. It consists of 22 students. The object of this research is students’ learning activity and achievement in learning mathematics through snowball throwing learning methods. The result of the study shows that after applying this learning method, students’ learning activity and achievement has an increase. Students’ learning activity has an increase in cycle I from 56,4% become 77,46% in cycle II from the observation sheet. Beside that, the subjection mean of students achievement has an increase. In pre-cycle shows 41,89, in cycle I has an increase become 65,51, whereas in cycle II shows the increse become 75,28
