In this article the authors defend that cultural variants and features are present in many nonhuman animals species, understanding the term “culture” as any behavior, customs, habits or behavioral traits, that are social and not genetically transmitted from one generation to the next, excluding the knowledge and skills that individuals acquire on their own. Experimental research being made foralready a few decades, suggest that culture is more widespread in nature than previously thought.
