The Bagpipe Band, organized in 1948, is under the directorship of Clarion Larson. The only band of its kind in North Dakota, the members performed for both the Junior College Regional toumament and the Westem Conference high school toumament. A new dance was fe<' ltured this year in which all the members took part. Pre-viously the band had hod solo dancers each year, but the new folk dance uses eight of the dancers and two players on the pipes. The band hoped to go to Winnipeg, Manitoba, this summer. - 38
