PBIS 101: An Introduction to the Tier 1 PBIS Framework

This presentation will discuss how Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an application of a behaviorally-based systems approach to enhance the capacity of schools, families, and communities to design effective environments that improve the link between research-validated practices and the environments in which teaching and learning occur. Participants will be able to: (1) define PBIS; (2) identify the core components of PBIS; (3) understand the research that supports PBIS; and (4) understand implementation components.
