Types and Cultural Causes of Burmese Loanwords from Chinese

通过资料梳理与语音对比,将缅汉借词分为汉语云南方言源、闽南方言源、客家方言源和四邑方言源四类,并从文化包容性、名物制度的差异、文化交流和华人华侨的作用等方面分析了缅汉借词的文化成因。作为一种语言文化现象,缅汉借词不仅是汉缅两种语言接触的结果,也是中缅两种社会、文化接触和交流的产物,它的产生有着深刻的语言和文化原因。Based on datasorting and phonetic comparison,this paper divides the sources of Burmese loanwords from Chinese into four types,namely Yunnan dialect,south Fujian dialect,Hakkadialect and Siyi dialect.It also analyzes the cultural causes of Burmese loanwords from Chinese on aspects including the cultural inclusiveness,differences in naming system,cultural exchanges and the role of overseas Chinese.As akind of linguistic and cultural phenomenon,Burmese loanwords from Chinese,whose formation has profound linguistic and cultural reasons,are not only the result of language contact between Chinese and Burmese,but also aproduct of social and cultural contacts and exchanges between Chinaand Myanmar.国家社科基金项目“东南亚语言汉语借词研究”(项目编号:12BYY058
