This report deals with an autopsy case of a 7 month-old female with congenital obstruction of extrahe-patic bile ducts followed by obstructive jaundice and biliary liver cirrhosis. The patient died under severe symptoms of obstructive jaundice which had been succeeded by neonatal jaundice. From the autopsy fin-dings, the obstruction took place as a partial stenosis of the cystic duct, a total atresia of the hepatic duet, a total atresia of the common bile duct and of the terminal of the pancreatic duct. Atrophy of the gall bladder and the pancreas was also observed. Histologically, the liver showed intensive biliary cirrhosis with concomitant dilatation of small bile duets
