The competition aimed to promote adoption of knowledge sharing practices in agriculture and rural development in countries of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. It encouraged partners from across the region to document and share their innovations, ideas and success stories, and then to bring to the attention of decision makers, farmers and their organizations, researchers and development practitioners innovations that could be scaled up and replicated. This paper reports on aspects of design, approach, implementation, and impact of the competition and innovations, in line with contest priority areas, and which focus on practices related to contest themes
