Soils of Central Brazil in their native state are deficient in phosphorus. Te obtain high productivity in these soils, application of P is essential. There is limited information about P calibration in soils for rice crop. Therefore, a greenhouse experiment was conducted to establish correlation between P-test in soil and productivity utilizing three rice cultivars (IAC 47, IAC 164, IR 43). Critical P level in the soil studied varied between cultivars and with the stage of development. Soil test rating for P is presented for each cultivar at different growth stages.
