Low birth weight (LBW) babies means infants that are succeptible to the diseases. Thus, their survival is low. Several previous studies have suggested that survival is related to the management of infants in the health care. Therefore, to measure LBW survival in Indonesia, this study was conducted. Sources of data in this study were Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey (SDKI) in 2002-2003 and 2007. This study used retrospective cohort as its design study. Based on inclusion criteria (singleton birth and birth weight between 1,500 and 2,499 grams) and exclusion (not last child and incomplete data), a number of 1,123 infants was selected.
