With the objective of evaluating the effectiveness of BIOBRAS-6 in the micropropagation of the plantain cultivar FHIA-21, the present work was carried out during the period of January 2000 to September 2001, in the laboratory of Mass Propagation of the Institute of Plant Biotechnology. Different concentrations (0.05, 0.01 mg.l-1) and combinations of this product were studied with growth regulators for multiplication, in vitro rooting and acclimatization. Results obtained in the experiments of the different phases had a marked effect of auxin reinforcement of BIOBRAS-6.
