The mirror in Judita Vaičiūnaitė's poetry

The Mirror is a secret, magic and mystical object with numerous historical ami cultural meanings. Its analysis in the author's creative work enables to show the specifics of her poetic world. Therefore it has been analysed in all Juditi Vaičiūnaitė's poetry from the first collection to "The Ark of the Clouds". The collection "The Wandering Sun" and "Insomnia Kile", the book of essays and the collection "In the Mirror of Childhood" were analysed. The title of the last book determined the title of this article. Figurative connections anil contexts arc being revealed in the context of all the author's creative works. They create an interesting and peculiar field of meanings. Their recognition and discussion is the aim of this article. The three aspects, namely: the mirror's connection to the woman's world, its power to model space and lime and water, which became a mirror are being emphasized here.
