IDENTIFIKASI FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KEJADIAN PHLEBITIS (PENGALAMAN PERAWAT DI RSI AISYIYAH MALANG)

Background : Phlebitis is an infection that occurs in the insertion’s area of infusion that can lead to complications in the form of thrompophlebitis. Thrombus released from the vein wall will follow the bloodstream, if it leads to the organ it will cause several complications such as CVA, sroke, pulmonary embolism, and others. Aim : Identify factors that affects the incident. Of phlebitis (Experience Of Nurse in RSI Aisyiyah Malang) Method : This research was qualitative research that conducted with the approach case study. The subjects of the study consisted of 8 participants who were selected based on inclusion criteria, namely was working at RSI Aisyiyah Malang and have been ever handle cases phlebitis. The data collection was carried out using in depth interview techniques related to participants experiences regarding phlebitis factors while working at Aisyiyah Hospital. Analysis: The researcher reduced the data or summarized the main points from the results of the interview, then determined the key words/sentences and categories. The researcher then draw any conclusions of the themes that would be identified. Results: Obtained 8 themes in the form of: (1) The Concentration of Therapeutic Fluid Given Too High; (2) Length of Installation of Infusion More Than 72 Hours; (3) Inaccuracies in the Selection of Location of Infusion Installation; (4) Conditions of Vulnerable Patients; (5) Lack Of Maintenance Of Nurse Hygiene; (6) Activities of Patients with Much Moving Children Can Trigger Phlebitis; (7) Disobedience of Nurses Against Things That Need to Be Looked For In Preventing Phlebitis
