OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the outcome of pregnancies complicated by placental insufficiency and abnormal umbilical artery Doppler prior to viability. DESIGN: A retrospective cohort study. SETTING: Italy. POPULATION: Singleton pregnancies with fetal growth restriction and absence of end-diastolic velocities (AEDVs) in the umbilical arteries prior to 24 weeks.
