Elucidating the response of breast cancer cells to chemotherapeutic and hormonal based drugs is clearly important as these are frequently used therapeutic approaches. A signaling pathway often involved in chemo-and hormonal-resistance is the Ras/PI3K/PTEN/Akt/mTOR cascade.
