Java is a very popular execution environment for embeddedsystems platforms. However, current industrial and research implementationfocus on single-processor platforms. In this paperwe analyze a prototype parallel Java Virtual Machine implementationtargeted to a symmetric multi-core architecture using sharedmemory communication.
