Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are becoming the most utilized markers in population genetics studies. Reduced representation genome techniques, as genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS), allow identifying great numbers of polymorphisms that are useful to analyze genetic diversity in non-model organisms.
