Experimental study of energy reserve parameters in mussels Mytilus galloprovincialis from water of the Sevastopol bay has shown a disbalance of the energy balance in the animals: the amount of the energy income was not enough to provide growth processes. During the period of observations (7 months) growth rate of the animals was negative. In winter-spring months the mussles lost to 25% of the energy equivalence of the body, while in summer to 60%.
