Non-formal pupils education voucher: disparities among municipalities

Bachelor’s thesis "Non-formal Pupils Education Voucher: Disparities Among Municipalities" focuses on the non-formal pupil education in Lithuania. Disparities in the level of non-formal pupil education between Lithuanian municipalities were noticed after new national funding model, known as non-formal pupil education voucher system, was introduced. This paper aims to identify the real causes of the disparities and to distinguish the good practices that help municipalities to involve more pupils in non-formal education activities. The study examines whether there is a connection between the given factors and pupils involved in non-formal education. The research shows that the number of non-formal education activities and geographical availability of programs have a significant impact on non-formal education voucher system’s success in the municipalities. Results from this study are important for the effective non-formal education development and further studies in this field
