الدور الإقليمي لحل النزاعات في الصومال : دلالات ومآلات 1990 – 2016م

This study Deals with the regional role in solving the conflicts that Somalia suffers during the period (1990 - 2016). The problem of this study revolves around the regional role of conflict resolution in Somalia and the effectiveness of this role in achieving security and stability so as to ending the conflict in Somalia. The problem of this study showing the roots of the conflict in Somalia was caused by the division of Somalia, which was caused by foreign colonialism and the annexation of some of its parts to neighboring countries, this study is aimed at identifying the contribution of foreign countries to solving the Somali crisis and identifying the internal and external factors that led to the conflict in Somalia. The importance of this study lies in the interest of regional forces, regional organizations, and the contribution of other parties to resolving the conflict in Somalia, through the efforts done by African Unity and African Union and the IGAD. The researcher used historical method to identify the roots of the problem and track the stages of its grows in addition to the use of descriptive analytical method to analyze the nature of the conflicts and types and dimensions and knowledge of other problems related to the conflict and its implications and that for realization the hypothesis of the study. The most important results of this study are as follows: Somalia strategically location and it located on the Red Sea, making it one of the most important ports in the world, Somalia is one of the most countries that suffer from conflicts and international intervention in the region, which led to its division and the annexation of some of its parts to neighboring countries, to resolve conflicts in Somalia depends on achieving or imposing peace through diplomacy. Also the study recommended that :Somalia must take the appropriate steps that satisfy everyone in dealing with the complex reality, which includes all aspects of internal and external and international, which leads to the achievement of peace and stability in the region through taking serious steps to achieve political stability, which helps in the development of the region, must to establish relations with neighboring countries in order to achieve political stability
