The use of a new microreflectometer has allowed the doubling of the spectral range in which the optical properties of absorbing minerals were measured. Thus it has been possible to obtain the dispersion curves of reflectivities, refractive indices, and absorption coefficients of covellite and enargite, from 400 nm to 960 nm, on orientated sections. These new series of measurements in reflected light are in good agreement, for the visible part of the spectrum, with previous data. For the near infrared, the studies of these curves allows to reveal the existence of a selective absorption band, specific of covellite, and, to confirm the transparency of enargite already studied in transmitted light in the same spectral range. An outstanding p...
