The integration of GeoGebra in the function study

The following research sought to understand the pedagogical potential of incorporating the GeoGebra with the study of functions: linear, exponential and logarithm quadratic functions. The subjects of the research were students from the ninth semester of the Teaching Course in Mathematics, and the research was developed in a mandatory discipline that addresses the usage of technology in teaching mathematics. Divided into two steps, initially the students worked in a computer lab where each of the functions were approached, in the software. In the second step, the same subjects created an activity with the contents discussed in the study. For the production of records were used questionnaires and tests with questions that were applied throughout each activity to be able to follow the development of the student and daily records of the researcher. For the theorization of the work, authors have been brought in to discuss the use of technologies such as Kenski (2010), Moran (2000), Prensky (2010), mathematics education Borba (2016) and Siemens (2004) learning theory. The data were analyzed according to the Recuero (2013). he graphic visualization was verified as a favorable point of using GeoGebra in the study of functions. When it came to calculations, students preferred to operate in the traditional manner (pencil and paper). In the second phase activities, they would only use the software to plot the graphic. Although the students in the research were born counting from 1990, being considered digital natives, they didn’t have access to digital technologies in the educational environment; as reported during the research, this will still be a challenge.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESA presente pesquisa buscou compreender o potencial pedagógico da integração do software GeoGebra ao estudo de funções: afim, quadrática exponencial e logarítmica. Os sujeitos de pesquisa foram alunos do nono semestre do curso de Licenciatura em Matemática, a pesquisa se desenvolveu em meio a uma disciplina obrigatória que aborda a utilização de tecnologias no ensino de matemática. Dividida em duas etapas inicialmente os discentes trabalharam no laboratório de informática onde foram exploradas cada uma das funções no software, na segunda fase os mesmos criaram atividade com o conteúdo abordado no estudo. Para a produção de registros foram utilizados questionários e testes com questões que que foram aplicados ao longo de cada atividade para poder acompanhar o desenvolvimento do aluno e registros diários da pesquisadora. Para teorização do trabalho foram trazidos autores que versam sobre o uso de tecnologias como Kenski (2010), Moran (2000), Prensky (2010), no campo da educação matemática Borba (2016) e como teoria de aprendizagem o conectivismo de Siemens (2004).Os dados foram analisados segundo a teoria fundamentada de Recuero (2013).Como ponto favorável de utilizar GeoGebra no estudo de funções foi constatada a visualização gráfica, os cálculos os discentes preferiram realizar de maneira tradicional (lápis e papel),nas atividades elaboradas pelos discentes na segunda fase só utilizariam o software para plotar gráfico A pesar dos alunos que participaram da pesquisa terem nascido a partir de 1990, serem considerados nativos digitais não tiveram acesso as tecnologias digitais em meio ao ambiente educacional como eles mesmos relataram durante a pesquisa esse ainda será um desafio
