This thesis concerns the comparison of the phenomena of nasal coarticulation of vowels in two languages that have phonological nasal vowels (French and Urdu) and three languages that don’t have phonological nasal vowels (American English, Bosnian and Norwegian). To evaluate the degree of nasality, we used a piezoelectric accelerometer (PA) (non invasive and transportable). Five native speakers of each language recorded the corpus of logatomes CVNC, words and sentences.
