研究成果の概要(和文):ダイズの機能未知遺伝GmTDF-5はその過剰発現によりシロイヌナズナの耐塩性を向上させる。本研究では、植物の塩ストレス応答・耐性機構におけるGmTDF-5の役割を明らかにするため、同遺伝子に関する詳細な分子生物学的研究を行った。その結果、(1) GmTDF-5タンパク質はN末端側から20番目のリジン残基を介してユビキチン-プロテアソーム系で制御されること(2) 同遺伝子によるシロイヌナズナの耐塩性向上にはユビキチン-プロテアソーム系による制御が必要であること、(3) 国内ダイズ遺伝資源の解析から、GmTDF-5転写量の高い品種は概して耐塩性が高い傾向を示すことを明らかにした。研究成果の概要(英文):GmTDF-5, a soybean gene encoding a protein of unknown function, enhances salt tolerance of transgenic Arabidopsis plants.
