This article presents part of the research in which ASCARDIO is characterized as an entrepreneurial organization, and its experiences of intrapreneurship. The features considered in the article which encourage intrapreneurship include individual and organizational contexts. The methods applied in this research were quantitative and qualitative, including both descriptive and field studies. Features at the organizational level include having an entrepreneurial leader, managing resources and capabilities to undertake knowledge management and organizational learning, and possessing an entrepreneurial culture with distinctive features, such as support for learning, individual autonomy, performance-reward criteria, flexible organizational struct...
