With more than half century of being shaped by the biologist Ludwig von Bertalanffy, the General Systems Theory (GST) has had a great welcome in several fields of studies, including the organization management. The objective of this paper is gather the different practical applying of GST in management models, making a documentary review, analyzing the complementary theories who contributed to the GST and then relate them the management models arising from the theory, concluding that the majority are descriptive nature, leaving much field for the applying of The General Systems Theory in the management models into the organizations.Con ya más de medio siglo de haber sido concebida por el biólogo Ludwig von Bertalanffy, La Teoría General de los Sistemas (TGS) ha tenido gran acogida en variados campos de estudio, incluyendo la administración de organizaciones. Este estudio pretende recopilar las diferentes aplicaciones prácticas del TGS en modelos de gestión haciendo una revisión documental, en la cual se analiza las teorías complementarias que aportaron a la TGS y luego se relacionan los modelos administrativos surgidos de la teoría, concluyendo que la mayoría son de naturaleza descriptiva dejando mucho terreno por recorrer para la aplicación de la Teoría General de los Sistemas en modelos administrativos en las empresas
