The characteristics and particularities present in the individuals that make up each of the generational groups have been discussed in both the academic and the empirical context. In the workplace can be seen that some values have greater relevance for a generation than to the other. In this context, the main objective of this study is to identify the factors that contribute to the retention of professionals from generations X and Y in organizations. The study analyzes five factors related to the retention of people: routine work, personal interaction, professional development, economic benefits and social responsibility.
