This article discusses the work experiences of Purépecha women in Tijuana. It puts emphasis on the maquiladora women's work to understand its given meaning in a context of flexible forms of industrial work that leads to changes in perceptions of the work itself. It also mentions the ambiguity of the maquiladora inclusion as a positive part in the meaning of work and the continuity of social inequality originated in gender, ethnic and migratory issues.En este artículo se analizan las experiencias de trabajo de las mujeres purépechas en Tijuana.
