Anatomía de la lámina foliar de plántulas de seis especies de palmeras (Arecaceae) del bosque húmedo de Río Claro, estado Lara, Venezuela

The anatomy of the leaf blade of seedling eophylls of native species of Arecaceae family from the moist understory of Río Claro, Lara state was studied: Chamaedorea pinnatifrons check for this species in other resources , Geonoma undata check for this species in other resources , G. orbignyana check for this species in other resources , Hyospathe elegans check for this species in other resources , Prestoea acuminata check for this species in other resources , Wettinia praemorsa check for this species in other resources in order to determine anatomical differences that allow their recognition. In paradermic view, both adaxial and abaxial surfaces showed quadrangular or rectangular cells, with straight walls, except the abaxial surface of P. acuminata which were slightly sinuous. Stomata were presented in greater proportion on the abaxial surface, and were paracytic in H. elegans and P. acuminata, tetracytic in G. undata or both types in Ch. pinnatifrons, G. orbignyana and W.praemorsa. Only in W. praemorsa were observed multicellular simple trichomes. In cross sections the leaves of all species was observed that the midrib was prominent on both surfaces, with a closed collateral bundle, surrounded by sclerenchyma. The leaf blades were equifacial, amphistomatic with the epidermis and hypodermis uniestratificated except in Ch. pinnatifrons. The epidermal outer cell walls convex and with a thin cuticle. The eophylls of Ch. pinnatifrons, G. orbignyana, G. undata, H. elegans, P. acuminata and W. praemorsa were anatomically similar, although showing some differences that can help to identify the species. Foliar anatomy of palm seedling showed to be useful to delimiting the studied species.Se estudió la anatomía de la lámina foliar de los eófilos de plántulas de especies nativas de la familia Arecaceae provenientes del sotobosque húmedo de Río Claro, estado Lara: Chamaedorea pinnatifrons check for this species in other resources (Jacq.) Oerst., Geonoma undata check for this species in other resources Klotzsch, G. orbignyana check for this species in other resources Mart., Hyospathe elegans check for this species in other resources Mart., Prestoea acuminata check for this species in other resources (Willd.) H. E. Moore, Wettinia praemorsa check for this species in other resources (Willd.) Wess. Boer), a fin de constatar la existencia de diferencias anatómicas que permitieran su reconocimiento en estados temprano de desarrollo. Las descripciones se hicieron a partir de preparaciones semipermanentes con secciones trasversales de las láminas y aclarados epidérmicos. En vista paradérmica, todos los éofilos, en ambas epidermis presentaron células cuadrangulares o rectangulares, con paredes rectas, excepto en la epidermis abaxial de P. acuminata, donde fueron levemente sinuosas. Los estomas se presentaron en mayor proporción en la superficie abaxial y son de tipo paracítico en H. elegans y P. acuminata, tretraciticos en G. undata o ambos tipos en Ch. pinnatifrons, G. orbignyana y W. praemorsa. Solamente en ésta última se observaron tricomas simples pluricelulares. En las secciones transversales de las láminas de todas las especies se observó que la nervadura central fue prominente en ambas superficies, con un haz colateral cerrado, rodeado por esclerénquima. Las láminas fueron equifaciales, anfistomáticas, con la epidermis e hipodermis monoestratificada, excepto en Ch. pinnatifrons. La pared celular externa del tejido protector es convexa y está recubierta por una cutícula delgada. Los eófilos de Ch. pinnatifrons, G. orbignyana, G. undata, H. elegans, P. acuminata y W. praemorsa resultaron ser anatómicamente similares, aunque se presentaron diferencias que podrían contribuir a identificar las especies.
