Objective: To identify the current responsibility of the states of the former Yugoslavia with regard to respect for the rules defined by international humanitarian law. Methodology: Historical analysis based on documents and studies related to the subject. Results: the violation of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law entails individual sanction by the International Criminal Court, a body that has had significant background as the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, through which one of the crudest barbarities is judged in the history of mankind.
