Seeds of Plukenetia volubilis L. �Sacha Inchi� have a great economic value because oilseeds have a higher content of unsaturated fatty acids, being especially rich in omega 3, which is important for health and nutrition. Given this, the objective of the present study was to determine the conditions appropriate for the germination and development of P. volubilis. We tested four treatments, three of which were under in vivo conditions. The first treatment used fine moss as a substrate, sand, agricultural soil and humus for the second treatment, sand, sawdust and filter paper for the third treatment, and in vitro conditions for the fourth treatment.
