Now in its ninth season, Dr. Phillip Silver\u27s Thwarted Voices concert series provides an opportunity to present what is called forgotten music composed by Jewish musicians victimized by the Nationalist Socialist racist policies of the Holocaust in Europe. In the fall concert, Dr. Silver would like to invite Trond Saeverud to perform Mendelssohn\u27s Piano Trio in d minor. Phillip and Noreen Silver will also perform. The year 2009 is the 200th anniversary of Mendelssohn\u27s birth and his music is being featured all over the world this coming season. He was also one of the composers most detested by the Nazis and all of his music was banned during the period of the Third Reich
