This study was planned as a preliminary survey of the short time credit problems of South Dakota. Although considerable information had been gathered concerning long time credits, no investigation had been made in the short time credit field; consequently the study of short time credits was regarded merely as an extension of the previous field of study. An investigation in this field was expected to be valuable since the efficient operation of the farming business depends in many instances on ready access to a cheap supply of short time credit
