Monmouth County planing area I land use report

The data for this report on Planning Area I was developed from field work conducted in 1974, tabulations and re-checks taking place from 1975 to 1980. The data base consists of municipal tax sheets showing actual use of the lots and parcels of land, re-checked through aerial photo interpretation and in-field spot checks. Data presentation here describes land by types of use or use groups. The use categories and their distribution are indicated in Table I. The data is comparative for each Planning Area, of which there are six in the County. The existing land use is interfaced with environmental and other developmental constraints and the County Development Plan. The resultant analysis provides the basis for policy statements about development both at a local level and within the countywide context of environmental and developmental requirements
