Soil survey of the Camden area, New Jersey

The United States Department of Agriculture has been engaged in classifying and mapping the soil types of the individual states. This report focuses on the Camden area, which is situated in the west-central part of southern New Jersey and comprises Camden County, much of Gloucester County, and small parts of Burlington, Atlantic, Salem, and Cumberland Counties. This soil survey produced data about the kinds of soil present in this area and addresses questions such as where soils are located, and what are their properties and features. This research allows for the classification into the soil series and land types and describes their major features.
