This report focuses on the Freehold area of New Jersey, which is situated in the eastern part of the state on the Atlantic Ocean. Thirty-eight types of soil were mapped, including Muck, Meadow, and other miscellaneous soils. The soils vary greatly in texture and in the materials from which they are derived. Amont the other soils described are: Sassafras; Collington; Colts Neck series; Keyport series; Lakewood; Keansburg series; and the Shrewsbury series. The present agriculture is diversified, trucking, potato growing, general farming, and fruit raising being followed
